ORBIT READS  //  THE GATEWAY FILES Declassified
Doc · CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5 · 1983

You've felt it. That half-second before sleep where you're still awake.

In 1983 the CIA wrote a report about that exact feeling — and what happens if you learn to stay there. No crystals. No aliens-guy energy. Just the declassified pages, in plain English.

No spam. The primer, and a note when the full course opens.

What it actually is

A U.S. Army officer was asked to explain how the mind leaves the noise behind.

The Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process wasn't ghost-hunting. It was a sober attempt to describe what the brain can reach when the body finally goes quiet — written for people whose whole job was to not get fooled.

The problem? It reads like a physics lecture. Most people open it, hit the word "hemispheric synchronization," and close the tab. That's the gap we fill: the same steps, translated into something you can actually do tonight.

Mind awake. Body asleep.

The first doorway in the document has a name. Here it is without the jargon:

1
Lie down and get heavy.Tense every muscle for a breath, then let it fall. Tell the body it's done for the day.
2
Breathe on a count. In for 4, out for 6. Slow the exhale — that's the switch that pulls you down.
3
Hold the edge.Stay right where you'd normally fall asleep — and don't. Awake mind, sleeping body. That's Focus 10.
Page 25 was missing for 18 years

The single most-cited page in the file was blank in every copy — until 2021.

When the report first surfaced online, page 25 — the one that ties the whole model together — simply wasn't there. Clerical error, people said. The internet disagreed loudly. When it finally appeared, it was the part that reframed everything: not how you enter the state, but where it goes. We put that in plain English too.

Why the clips work

We don't post facts. We hand you the feeling first.

Every Orbit Reads clip is built on one move: name the private thing you've felt but never said out loud — then reveal the CIA had a file on it. It's not a lecture. It's a mirror with a document behind it.

The hook

Second person, zero claims. "You've felt this and couldn't explain it." You see yourself before you see us.

The turn

The reframe: you're not anxious at night — your brain is trying to reach a state that has a name.

The ask

One word gets you in. Comment GATEWAY and the field guide lands in your DMs. That's the whole door.

The starter file

Try the doorway tonight.

The free primer gives you the method. The Starter walks you through it — four guided sessions in your ear, carrying the same 4 Hz pulse the original program used, so you stop managing the clock and just fall into the state. Plus the 7-day tracker and what to do when it isn't working yet. Nine dollars. Yours in about a minute.
